MB Crossbars
I am having issues getting the back crossbar to attach to the roof. It appears to be barely too wide to reach across the span and clamp down on the two existing roof rails. I can get them in, but I can't get them to clamp down.
Does anyone have an instruction manual for these that they can scan and send to me? I am wondering if I am doing something wrong, although it would appear to be straight forward as far as attaching them.
Plus, does anyone have issues with the plastic bottom of the clamps breaking off. They seem very fragile -- I had one broken in the box during shipment and one break while I was placing it on the rails.
Thanks in advance for any assistance. I feel like an idiot that I can't put these on.
Thanks,
Ryan

I had a lower cover break in shipment but not in use.
The clamps are rugged.
They do need to go in exactly the right place to fit as the roof rails spread apart at the front.
Right now, I can't seem to figure out proper placement of the cross bars since it didn't come with instructions. Not sure if I am having problems with placement or if I am doing something else wrong.

The front bar is just behind the sunroof.
I think there are marks on the rails to show where they go.

How are you planning on fixing the cover?

The plastic tabs have broken off the cover. This is annoying. I know eventually the other plastic tabs will weaken with weathering -- luckily it is mostly cosmetic more than protective. (I suppose that there is some protection from the elements but it is minimal since the top cover protects most of the bar from the sun and rain.
Other than contacting Thule, I have no other recourse.

I have my original set and both covers are fine, and the set I bought used had one broken cover from bad shipping.
P.S. I have already tried Thule. No go!
