Delay in rear camera screen on startup 2011 GL
Has anyone else noticed a long delay when putting the car in reverse after starting? First, the MB logo pops up, then a warning screen. It's kind of annoying, but I dealt with it until I just got my 2014 E63S which has no delay. Is there a fix?

This appears to be normal vehicle function. Mine takes a while as well. I just use my mirrors and glance at the screen once the image comes up.

If so, let us know. I will be more than happy to pay in order to get rid of that delay. It takes an eternity for that stupid mmessage to go away.

My 2008 is the same way. They all do and it is an ongoing complaint. My wife's new Lexus camera comes on INSTANYTLY.

FYI, I am currently in an M166 ML350 loaner and the camera comes on (almost) instantly. I am guessing the hardware/software on the 164 platform was just slow cuz my x164 2012 GL takes a while to "boot up" as well...

It's not a software issue. It's the damn warning message on the screen.
