07 GL450 slow acceleration
2007 GL450, 50k miles,
today at the traffic light, when pressing the gas pedal, the engine runs to 3000 rpm but the car is going very slow, almost as if the engine is disconnected with the car.
Stopped, parked a while and restart it, when accelerating, the GL reaches 40 mph almost as normal, and the speedometer reaches 3000 rpm. continue pushing the gas pedal, the speedometer stays at 3000 rpm, and there is a abnormal noise coming from the power-train, as if the engine is running at high rpm, without providing propulsion.
maybe this is a transmission problem?
will try get it checked on Monday.
