Hello all, new to this forum and MB in general. Just bought my first about a month ago. About 2 weeks ago, my husband noticed that my front end was sitting low (both sides) but once we started the engine it raised up and ride was fine. A week later same thing happened, only it raised up and after driving for about 4-5 miles it lowered back down. We took it in to an indy shop that specializes in MB yesterday to diagnose and he told us that both the front struts are leaking and need to be replaced, he quoted us $1700 out the door. What my question is, is this quote was with OEM parts, and I have read that Arnott (I think that's it) makes a more reliable part with a lifetime warranty, and if the OEM parts tend to wear so easily, should I buy on my own and not use OEM parts? It seems to me that if I use OEM parts the same issue will arise.

I haven't had to replace our air suspension parts yet, but will likely use the Arnott products due to their warranty. There are DIY instructions on the forums.
