Coolant question
On my 2011 GL450 I have to top off the coolant. I noticed it has the clear/yellow stuff in their but I got the blue coolant from dealer. Is it okay to top off with blue stuff??

I assume you bought the car used? then I'd do a flush.
Inorganic Acid Tech (IAT)
Commonly found every where i.e. Peak,Xerex, etc. is green. Silicates and Phosphates lasts 2-3 years
Organic Acid Tech (OAT)
GM(DEX) no silicates or phosphates, is orange, lasts 5years
Japanese (OAT) is red or pink, lasts 5 years.
Hybrid Organic Acid Tech (GO-5)
Glysantine Organic Valvoline GO-5,Xerex GO-5, yellow, lasts 5 years
Glysantine Organic BASF GO-5, MB GO-5, blue, lasts 5 years.
All fluids are compatible within their respective groups, but you can't mix fluids from different groups., all GO-5 can mix, but not with any other OAT or IAT.
