Looking at a 2010 CPO GL450. Has all the things I like except for the Lighting package -- which without Xenons it's a dealer-breaker for me.

What exactly does the LED DLRs mean, then? Where are the LEDs installed?
(Note this specific vehicle has the dual chrome-trim fog lights.)

In 2010, the lighting package replaces the dual chrome fog lights with an LED strip. With the dual chrome, one light per side is a DRL and the other is a fog. With the lighting package, the strip is your DRL. If the truck has the dual chrome fogs, it does not have the lighting package.

I'm confused of the dealer's description as 'LED day running lights'

When I was shopping for my GL, I found that this was commonly an error on the ads by both dealers and non-dealers. The only way to know is to look at the photos. If it has a chrome-surrounded round light below the headlight, it doesn't have DRL's. If it has a thin light-bar, it has DRL's. Half of the vehicles listed as full leather really had MB-Tex...you have to call and ask for the VIN or the build sheet to know for sure.

No Xenon's was a deal-breaker for me too, and it's surprising how many are out there with just halogens, on what is supposed to be a luxury vehicle.

If you have the "Lighting Pkg" you also have the headlight washer that pop up and the better head lights. If not, you just have the 2 round driving a fog lamps and the plain jane head lights.
