Engine stalled at stop light
2011 GL 350.
Was at a stop light, when the engine suddenly stopped. I pushed the 'start' button and it restarted.
Then, it was not getting much power how much ever I press the gas till 40mph.. then ran smoothly on the freeway, without issues.
It happened a second time after I got off the freeway. Same deal. Engine stopped. Restarted and ran sluggishly till approx 40mph.. then everything is smooth.
Havent had any issue since then (been 3 days).
Dealer says that there is no diagnostic information available and his test drive was uneventful.
Anything that you guys think I should be concerned about? The truck has been flawless since I bought it!

Whatever caused the stall made it restart in limp mode.
The next restart was back to normal.
Maybe bad fuel?

My 09 Bluetec exhibited the same symptoms you describe only it would do it on the freeway at high speeds. I would have to shut it down and restart it. After the restart, it would run fine. I think it happened 4 or 5 times over the course of a year or so. No CEL etc. and the dealership had no idea. Each time I was traveling with the whole family in the car.
