Just swapped my battery and now have the batt symbol not going away?

Just swapped my battery and now have the batt symbol not going away?
Just put a Oddessy battery in to swap the MB one that was in. First problem. I can't relearn my sunroof correctly and then the battery symbol on the message display won't go away. What now??

charge on a trickle charger until full charge is indicated.
reconnect to truck. battery sign should go away. if not, you blew the voltage regulator or alternator or both.
the moonroof should learn by itself if you are persistent with the button (ie press it repeatedly until moonroof opens and closes all the way)

Also I'm wondering if I somehow damaged the alt or reg. why would no error codes be thrown? After the install I plugged my reader in and did not find any codes in the computer. I have not had the chance to pull the batt and try what Jay suggest but wouldn't I have had some power loss by now after driving for a few days with it.
I just can't figure why the batt symbol shows at every start. Thanks J
