air suspension
I have a 08 GL450. The air ride system has been coming and going for some 4 months, works great then all of sudden lowers to bottom at any speed. Today, went over a speed bump, heard a pop sound in right rear, now rear end is on ground, front stays up. Was this due originally to possible air bag intermittent leaking and then blowing out? Also while during first problem dash would read air compressor cooling down. Thanks, gpaw

09 GL450, 00 S500, 03 CL500
Same thing happened to my 09 gl450. Dealer is a rip off on this... Bought new front strut and rear bag from Arnott, did labor myself after viewing the video on their site. Parts come with lifetime warranty.

gl450 rear air bags
I replaced rear bags on my gl with arnott units. It was very easy because I loosened the line nuts just a little this allowed the air lines to be pushed into compression rings with ease then tightened the nut back up. Whole job took 20 to 30 min. tops.
