What a boring forum!
Sorry you're unimpressed, tons of traffic on more popular models that men tend to write about such as amg anything, w212, c class....

Oh, and you'd be amazed how well this thing handles when giving it 50% throttle mid-turn around 3200 rpm......
Airmatic will reduce the ride height somewhere north of 100

also, even if we provide you with the answer there is a good chance that you will not be able to utilize it as it might require advanced auto mechanic skillset and/or proper tools.
in addition many folks come here and post non-actionable questions - like "my check engine light is on and pepboys scanned it and found nothing. what is my problem?". well, the car needs to be plugged in star/das and read.
most "mystery" problems require star/das readout. the average joe does not have the tool and therefore cannot ask a meaningful questions.
in a nutshell- if a question is asked and there are no answers- there is a good chance you are not providing enough info for a meaningful answer.

Every car I've owned in the past had a much more active online community than the GL. But as others have stated in this thread, it makes sense why it is so. Still, I found lots of good info on here relating to the GL on here. Been very helpful!

Mechanically they are almost the same, and there are a lot more of them.
It's tough for the SUV driving soccer mom's to answer to posts here, especially while they're breast feeding.

Ricers always have a lot to talk about.
Just not much to say!

The GL is mostly driven by soccer-moms but I did love the truck and likely will own one in future. But it will be under warranty and will have to look better than the Jellybean X166. I loved the way the X164 handled and looked as well as the size of it, but I went S8 and am happy I did so. It's been an absolute beast in the snow this year, the worst on record for New England.
On another note, I think Merc has really screwed up by making their diagnostic tools so unobtainable or ridiculously expensive. A Ross-Tech cable for my car is $300 and I can be an audi tech on my own time, even if I'm a ****ty wrench--at least I can pinpoint the problems and do minor DIY work or point my indy in the right direction.

The S8 does not tow sh-t!
And the Q-TDI is way too expensive NOT to be am MB!
Agree with you on the Q7--I looked at them briefly, but it made no sense to me from a dollars to value perspective. Also, from an interior space perspective, the rear seats are a decoration in the Q7 and were a reason that I was looking at a big SUV. Had I gone that route, a GL it would have been.
