Chime when car doors lock?

My MY2010 GL450 does not give me an audible confirmation that it's locked. Only by a quick glance to the folded mirrors can i "confirm" that the doors are locked. Is there a chime that can be set at the dealer to give me that little auditory confirmation?

Thanks,
Dimitris

Mine has it. You change it through the epic, which is the center menu in the dash. you have to scroll through the options. I turned the mirrors off and the horn on. The horn is a lot more cheaper than the motors on the mirrors, which do give out if you use that feature. I only use it when I park in public lots. I have a reserved spot at work and no one can part on either side.

What year is your GL? I have never seen this option in my 2007. I think it may have been introduced in later models...

By the way, for those of you who use the mirrors to tell if the truck is locked, do NOT rely on that. If you lock your truck, the mirrors fold. Then if you unlock it with the remote, the mirrors do NOT unfold until you open the door. So if you hit lock, then unlock, your truck still looks like it is locked if you look at the mirrors.

My brother used the mirror option and killed the motors, thought the horn was too loud. Ouch is all I'll say!

I'm turning the mirror fetcher option off a soon as I get off work.
And will search the screen selection for a horn or chirp option.
It was set that way when I bought the truck (used) 2009 GL55 and my wife's c350. Just got used to looking at the mirrors to confirm it was locked

You change the settings in the menu that sits between the speedo and tach. I changed mine to the horn. I don't mind the horn.

Others have the mirrors set to fold in so they can tell the doors are locked. Over time the motors give out from the constant folding and unfolding. I can tell you those mirrors are off planet earth to replace. I fold the mirrors when in public parking. I'm the one that parks in the back 40 so most of the time I leave them alone. At home and work they stay open.

I also turned off the easy in and out feature. My buster is not big enough to warrant the use of the seat going back and the wheel going up. Again less moving parts the better.

Chime

Thanks everyone who's pointing me to the epic/info console (between the speedo and RPM gauges).

My problem is... that in my 2010 GL there's no chime/horn option.. ;-)
I did turn off the folding mirrors, though...

Tried all menu options; it must have been added in later years (2011+) since my MY2010 doesn't have a horn/chime set / option.

Good advice. The more luxury, the more headaches.

My ride is CPO until 2019, unlimited miles. I might as well enjoy the gizmos awhile before I get the stealer to fix it on their dime.
