2011 GL350 Diesel Cam Position Sensor Codes (CMP)
2011 GL350 Diesel
I'm getting a code:
P20BD rotate angle error between left cylinder bank camshaft and crankshaft (P0378)
If I clear the code it comes back. The car is functional, but not running 100%.
I looked for a cam position sensor on the left bank and couldn't easily locate it. I did see the one on the right bank, so I swapped a new sensor in there. I still get the code.
Can someone tell me if there is indeed a cam position sensor on the left bank? Pictures or location?
Any other ideas?

Is it making a loud slapping/rattling at startup? I am not sure if there is a left bank cam sensor but one side throwing a code means slack in chain from wear or bad tensioner.
I just went through the timing chain replacement.

Thanks for the responses. The code reader is just a generic OBDII reader. That may be giving inaccurate information.
There has been some startup drama, but it doesn't particularly sound like timing chain slap to me. It sounds more like an ignition timing issue, which of course it's not, but it might be fuel timing, I suppose. It then resolves itself in a few crankshaft rotations. It does this once every 10-15 startups at the moment.

CAMSHAFT SENSOR POSITION
Hi - new to the site.
Did anyone respond with the location of the Camshaft Sensor position? We are receiving the error code for the camshaft sensor but cannot find where it is located.

Thanks in advanced!
