Update NAV Maps
Getting emails from Mercedes that the "last" update DVD is available now for my 2007.

Anybody know the part number?

Never mind, found it.

Working my way to "add to cart" from the email from Mercedes, found it on the screen.

This for 2007-2008 GL

BQ6460328

Can save about $40 using online dealer.

I bought one on ebay, and it worked for about 2-3 weeks then shut my nav down... I replaced with old DVD and worked fine. I recommend buying from dealer only.

I bought a used copy online and it has been working like a champ for over a year. Considering the savings you get by buying used, I wouldn't necessarily discount it.

Hi, we will start here. Just became an owner, 2008 GL320 CDI. 174K. Immaculate condition, sand beige metallic exterior, black leather interior. One place that seems ok to start is upgrading my Nav system. I understand that I have to start with 2009 and move all the way up. Is this accurate?

No, just grab a copy of the latest release (I believe it's still 2014) and throw it in your Nav unit. Each iteration has all the updates of the previous versions.
