Hi Forum!
Just changing my oil again, and wanted some advice re: oil change quantity.
My understanding is that this vehicle takes 8.5 quarts of oil.
However, when I fill it with 8.5 quarts of oil, (after using a mityvac fluid evacuator to remove the oil oil), it typically takes me a full 9 quarts to get about 2/5s of the way up the dipstick. 8.5 quarts barely wets the bottom of the dipstick.
Anyone else notice anything similar?
My understanding is that I should go with the dipstick measurement, not the actual quantity added.

I know it's an old thread, but I have to Google everytime when I forgot to look up manual before I get my hands dirty already.
Same here. Note that capacity 8.5 is "litter". Convert to US quart is 8.985 quart. Couple drops cannot get all out from bottles, 9 qt is ight on!
