2007 GL320 rear main seal leaking oil help!!
Hi. I have a 2007 gl320 with 230,000 miles on it. Rear main seal is leaking bad . Called mb dealer for price on the job. MB wants $1,900. My question to you guys has anyone done it themselves and what is involved in doing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

That is in the ball park. My dealer said around $1,700 and Krusty is correct it is all labor. If you find a shop that knows Mercedes they can do it for much less. The dealer has a much higher cost per hour. I believe the only part needed costs $20. lol
