AIRMATIC problem with CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
As I mentioned in my previous post, Y'day I replaced the rear air spring second time after the first one blew off(manufacturing defect
). My mechanic also changed the Level sensor during second replacement. After I parked in the night, the truck was still in RAISED postion, and today morning it was stayed the same. After driving 3 miles I got on to freeway and on reaching around 65mph, Airmatic "Lowered" signal came on and truck lowered a bit but the ride was normal. I drove for 75 miles and parked the car and it lowered to normal level like any other REGULAR day. After an hour I start the truck, the level is NOT RAISED much and after driving couple of miles, comes on the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and ride becomes a little bumpy
. I immediately hit the RAISE level button, truck rises and after get on the freeway... it lowers a little but the ride was NOT BUMPY and I drove back 75 miles fairly well BUT the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is STILL ON.. and after I parked the truck, the rear of truck is little lowered both sides... I am frustrated now... we changed both the air springs, Level sensors.. I am confused if my mechanic knows what he is doing? What else to check now? why is CHECK ENGINE LIGHT coming on? We got the CEL after first replacement as well, my mechanic ran the diagnostics but found nothing wrong. Please advise ASAP...
If there is a check engine light there is a code. Airmatic may or may not also throw mb- specific codes that can be read via star
Also I am confused. Why do you want the truck to be in the rised position? Raised is only for off-roading. 99.9% of the time you want the truck in the lowered position.

The Check Engine light was gone, apparently mechanic didn't slide in the AIR filter module tight into the slot.
I got the AIRMATIC recalibrated by the mechanic and the truck rides nice now. BUT I see a new issue now.
Whenever I LOCK or UNLOCK, I hear AIR LEAK for like 5 or 6 sec. It is not your typical BURST of air that comes from the Compressor (EXHAUST?) during the UNLOCK. I sneaked under the front fender and found that AIR LEAK is coming from the top of VALVE BLOCK as indicated in the attached picture.

I changed both the REAR AIR SPRINGS and LEVEL SENSORS in the last 5 days and as of now truck rides nice and NONE of the sides are collapsing overnight.
Should I be concerned about the AIR LEAK from the VALVE BLOCK? What could have caused the air leak all of a sudden. Is this issue induced by mechanic while installing NEW LEVEL SENSORS ? Please advise
I am planning a long ride this weekend. Should I be concerned of this issue?
Thanks
