a question re fuel pump.
So, I get the P0335 CPS code and car dies while wife is driving it. I change the CPS but car still wont start.
I hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and I don't get a reading while cranking the motor. I hear a continuous hum near the rear of the motor. I don't know what it is and I've never heard it before.
I check fuses 30 and 53 and I get power to those. I do not get power to fuse #57. I don't know why there are 3 fuses for the fuel delivery. I think it might possibly be the pump or the filter and Im in the process of pulling the pump now if I can find it.
Can someone maybe give me some possibilities of what it might be?

I got the same code and failure, P0335 is crank shaft sensor A circuit. Still waiting for diagnostic, but seems to be the timing chain.
I posted this about 4.5 years ago. It was a combination of my fuel pump and camshaft position sensor both failing at the same time. Timing chain was fine and still is after 270000 miles.
