Pulley problem
A few weeks ago get a "squeak, squeak, squeak" coming from, what I initially thought, was the secondary air pump (SAP). After researching that I determined that it wasn't the culprit and determined it may be the pulley right under the SAP.
Well, on Christmas Eve the wife comes home and says, "Hey, the squeak stopped and the truck smells like burnt plastic." I go to investigate that the pulley is deformed (like metal broke around the edges), the serpentine belt has slipped off and rubber everywhere as it was in the initial stages of shredding.
Sorry for the long first post, but I was wondering if anyone had this before and what action they took. In my past experience that pulley isn't connected to any accessories, but wanted to confirm that is true on the M273. Is it as easy as replacing the belt and pulley or am I in for an adventure?
Thanks, all!
