Center Caps
Is this what is under the center cap "decal"
I have a photo when the wheels were put in earlier in the day and then noticed the black center cap in the evening.
Is this what is under the "decal" or did someone do a swap on me? I'm assuming it's what's under the "decal" as I doubt somebody would trade caps as opposed to just stealing it.
I have a set of 4 on my other wheels, so I technically have 3 extras now, but just wondered.

Yeah, this was on the set of 18s I picked up for winter. I know it had a cover, cause I took a photo of it at the tire shop. Upon returning home, no cover.
Oh, well, so I have 7 caps with covers and 1 without. I'm actually not worried about it being it's the winter setup.

I've had good luck with ones on eBay from recycling yards. My GL550 was a NY car and the salt did a number on the OEM caps. Half the cost of new ones and great condition. Also they do come off easily. There is not that much tension keeping them on the wheel.

I replaced all 4 at 120,000 miles. The aluminum face is fragile and falls off leaving the black plastic housing intact, Not expensive on Ebay.
