Front Left SRS fixed

Be not afraid to tinker with your ride. Dealer said our SRS light was due to a faulty seat belt buckle sensor @$350. Message boards said to look at the wire where it's strapped too tight near base of buckle. I looked and found the broken wire, stripped it back and soldered it back together. Fixed. Wish I would have done it 6 months ago. I did attempt to find it before but gave up too soon. Gotta get me some outside torx sockets.

Bumping this thread because I fixed my GL and another family member's with both blue wires severed by an overly tight zip tie from the factory. Mine was the worst having to build a new lead for the blue wire.

95% it is only the blue wire that breaks, triggering both a Pre-safe failure and SRS malfunction.

Note - DO NOT zip tie your fix tight. I went a different route and used flex loom, which protects the wires and offers more flexibility. Still looks clean when looking down at your fix from the driver seat, which will be permanent.
