New set of 21" Continental DWS

Well I didn't believe it, but it's true. Continental now makes a 21" DWS tire to fit our GL550 (2010). I just had them installed on Saturday and so far, so good.

Sears (of all places) had them ON SALE for $296/each online. I used my local shop to mount/balance. The person at Sears told me that they have a 50,000 mile tread wear warranty, as long as they are rotated/aligned properly.

We will see about that.

I got Conti DW's on my Lexus. Very comfortable ride, not too expensive, great on wet and with a long tread wear warranty.

This tire brand is a new favorite for me.

When the Pirellis are done on the GL (they're already noisy, tread going fast), I'll go for the Conti's.

I think it rides GREAT. But in fairness, we did just replace the two rear shocks about a month or so ago.

I would say the OEM Continentals were a little, just a little bit quieter. The problem with those was the poor tread wear life. Sheez they would wear out quickly.

If the DWS last 30-35k miles it's worth it to me. I think they ride better, virtually as quiet, a few buck less to purchase AND they last longer...no brainer.
