Fog Light + Garage Program GL 450

Fog Light + Garage Program GL 450
Greetings everyone. I have 2 inquiries as I just became a Mercedes owner.
I own a 2010 GL450 which I believe it to be x164 but not certain.
Issue 1
I can't seem to make it programmable to my garage door opener.
I've pressed the two outer buttons of the rear view mirror but it never turns green. It will always stay orange, steady or hyper fast. I've watched 5 different videos on youtube all explaining the how-to and all say the same thing which I follow but no success in erasing previous codes.
Issue 2
Fog lights
Of the two lights seen on each side... only one bulb will work, the inner, and not outer. On closer inspection, the shape of the outer fog light bulb is more round than the inner which is a H7....The bulbs are fine but perhaps something I'm missing or don't know how to turn them on?
