Just use the ac more... It will self- clean most of the time unless drain is clogged. Do you see water marks on the ground when AC is running in humid weather? If you do just use the ac more and it will self flush.

If that doesn't work, you can get a mildewcide spray made for automotive AC applications. Put the AC on the lowest temp and the fans on the highest speed. You can access the air intake from the engine bay. Spread the carbon filters apart enough to get a good clean spray into the fresh air intake of your AC system. Should do the trick. I have to do it from time to time.

This works for me, too. Before I install the new filters (but with the old ones out), start the car and make certain the AC is on and your are NOT using recirculated air. I spray Lysol into the cabin air intake area and it gets pulled in by the fan. After a few seconds, you'll smell the Lysol in the cabin. Shut off the car, install the new filters and you'll be good for several months.

just an fyi. be careful spraying anything in the hvac intake.

the x164 hvac controller is in the fan assembly and fails regularly when subjected to liquid. i have seen _many_ of those dead.
