2nd row middle seatbelt replacement

I would appreciate any good advice or direction on replacing the 2nd row middle seatbelt on my 2008 GL450. Someone pulled it so hard they stripped the gear. Does anyone have any idea how I can get into the seat to replace it? Or do I have to buy a new bench seat entirely?
Thanks for any help.

I thought OP was referring to seat belt, not the buckle. Replacing seat belt buckle is easy.

Yes, I was referring to the seatbelt itself not the buckle.
However, your PDF file seems to be a large manual..
Can you provide how to fix the seatbelt or at least gain access to it.
Additionally, how can I obtain the large manual also. Thanks for any assitance.

Any instructions on how to remove the second row bench seat?

Is it pretty straight forward DIY?

Did we make progress son this? My middle seatbelt won't retract either, and I've no idea how to reach it to repair.

I disassembled the rear seat panel, and found some debris stuck in the seatbelt. I cleaned that out and the seatbelt retracted. NOW, the seatbelt is locked and I can't get it to pull out. I'm tempted to replace the whole portion of the seat.

its pretty likely you’ll set an airbag light if you don’t disconnect battery first

The "manual" for this is called Workshop Information System (WIS) and is a massive collection of interlinked electronic documents used by Mercedes dealers.

Access to WIS is available to others by subscription and last time I checked (10 years ago) the cost was $75 for 24 hours or $20,000+ for an annual subscription.

Check at startekinfo.com
