Same DPF 2008 ML and GL
That aside. I would still do it. The car accelerates so much easier. Looking in the dpf it is soo restrictive. If one just stayed under 2.5k rpm I'm sure no problem. But I don't. Not that I am ragging on it, but like that the vehicle has usable touque to accelerate and now it's smoother. I also replaced the intake resonater. I actually think it helped. As it is only slightly restrictive maybe placebo but it was not expensive
here is is also why I like the tune. It eliminates the egr and swirl valves. So no swirl errors in future. Also with the egr off all the carbon that clogs the intake is stopped. I was told when the carbon mixs with the oil from the ccv it turns to a destructive tar.when my oil cooler seals need replacing I plan to see about rebuilding the turbo with some enhancements and clean up the intake. Cb engineering has a intake upgrade the removes the egr and swirl components as well as removing carbon, welding up the associated orifaces. And port matches as well.
For now still chasing a oil leak. It was at my ccv, now it is as my oil filter after changing the ccv cap and changing oil. Either it is the cap or oring or I have too much crank pressure. The mechanic only changed the ccv cap maybe there is a debris restriction in the tube.
