One of the many problems that I have with my GL350 2010 is a code
"P0299 Turbocharger/Supercharger A Underboost Condition"
This could be related to my other code
"P2463 DPF Soot acumulation"
and this could be related to the very high oil consumption, 2qts each 600 miles and so on...
But I removed the Clean Air Duct Line or intake pipe and noted that the plastic is broken and the orange seal is finish. So tomorrow I will replace the seals but I'm not sure if the butterfly pipe will work fine, even with new seals because of the broken part. Maybe some repair to the plastic?(see pics) It's a no sense replace the whole piece for just a little crack.
Now my turbo is not working, it works the first 2 or 3 miles and after that it dies completely.
So my next steps are:
- New orange seals
- New intake pipe, A 6420907437
- Remove DPF and do a thermal cleaning ($400)
- Turbo seals and actuator.
- Turbo rebuild.
- Or sell it and buy a brand new Honda Civic.
This is the non pressurized side. Patch as you see fit so no false air is coming in the turbo, replace orange seals and make sure you don't crush the big one when tightening the banjo ..... and carry on.
