So finally I have my truck back. Costly lesson learned not to change seals sooner. I was actually researching where to have injectors cleaned when this caught me. Hopefully will be good for a while. I wish I was able to see what a monster was brewing under the intake.

Mechanic sent the 5 good injectors to be cleaned and tested. Cleaned the seats and installed the thicker Honda washers. As well replacing injector 2 and fixing all melted components.

glad you got it fixed, hopefully you wont have anymore injector seals issues for a while

I’m a bit late to the thread but your story corroborates my identical finding today, as I looked for the source of a very slow drip of diesel below the front of my 2014 GLK 250 BT.
It’s a wonder why there isn’t a spigot at the bottom of the filter to drain water accumulation like in the ‘80 diesel VW Rabbit I once had. I wonder if water caused the rust-through, which seems to be the cause of the hole by the pitting and corrosion at the canister’s bottom.
