Airmatic Saga Continues
About 4 weeks ago front left started dropping to bump stops overnight on my 08gl450, took to the dealer, they said after a week of testing that the left air spring was bad, I had them replace both fronts after doing some reading on these forums. Now the front left drops after a few hours... but only about an inch or so... anyone have any ideas? It drops about an inch and then doesn't drop anymore than that, if I open the door it levels out. If its still a bad air spring id like to get it resolved while its still under warranty since it was just replaced. any help or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I had a very similar issue and shop wanted me to change the air bags. i replaced the valve block after some reading but it actually ended up being the relay which is very inexpensive. Also, be sure to check the wiring connections at the fuse panel were the relay plugs in.

The relay should only be $40. I bought mine on Amazon. The relay is just a large fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
Is is there a leaking sound?
if only drops an inch, that isn't bad.
if replaced with mercedes parts the parts have a one year warranty but labor is not included.
if I had to redo my entire suspension, I would go with shock conversion. I put in new front struts, rear bags, compressor, relay fuse, and valve air block. $3,000. I didn't user MB deKership as it would have been $5k and only used Indy mechanic for one strut. I bought rest of parts and had local mech garage install.
As nited, if I had a redo I would converted and get away from airmatic.
