Phone stopped working
I don't know if all vehicles from this era use the same setup, but I have that long, narrow, silver/black "thing" (puck?) under the armrest that has two blue lights on either side of the Mercedes button. Recently, phone calls stopped working intermittently and the Command would have to re-establish a connection. I realized when this happened (wouldn't make a call), that the blue lights on the puck weren't on. It seemed as though if I wiggled it around that the blue lights would come back on. I figured something was loose and I would take a closer look at it at a later time and I stopped using the phone all together.
Today, I took the armrest apart and tried to find a loose connection... could not find anything loose. Tried reconnecting phone and would get the "phone not inserted" message on Command. I physically disconnected and re-connected the phone into it's cradle a number of times. I checked the fuses in the rear of the vehicle and they were fine.
Is it a bad puck? Some control module? Can Star diagnose this?
