Cruise Control, Gear Shift and Turn Signal levers rotate on column
My Cruise Control, Gear Shift and Turn Signal levers on my 2007 GL450 164 will move about an inch in either direction when I'm using them. Is there a fix to tighten them up?
I've never taken a steering wheel off so I'm hoping there is another option.

Where could I find instructions to do it correctly? What's all involved. I'm reasonably competent under the hood but have never removed a steering wheel.
Probably could if I had good directions.

My GL has developed the same issue. Not as pronounced as yours yet, but irritating. I could not find an exact procedure, but read somewhere that a steering wheel/airbag needs to come off. I hope there is another way to remove the steering column shroud, etc. Ran out of time for research... If anyone knows, please post here.

HI guys,
Have the same issue on my Ml320 cdi. haven't repaired it yet. because it hasn't irritated me enough yet.
judging from the how the the w203s are done and mercedes being pretty consistant in how the put things together, it shouldn't be that difficult.
I sould be repairing mine over the weekend and will try taking pics

- behind the steeringwheel, there are 2 holes on either side of the steering wheel. these are for loosening the airbag. use a `T30 torx tool. to do that.
- once you've untied the airbag , make sure you remove the airbag connectors . make sure the key is out of the ignition!!!!
- You can then remove the Steering wheel using an M50 key and a torque bar if you have. make sure steering is unlocked or else you'll damage the steering lock
- Once Steering has been removed you should be ale to see the the indicator storks etc and hopefuly where it bolts on.
