Brake noise GL 500 '07
Hey fellow MB owners.
I've got a GL500 4matic 2006 with brake noise.. It's mostly the left front side that makes the noise. This usually happens either braking slowly or taking a turn while braking.
So, what i've changed;
- new brakepads
- new disc rotor
- second hand hub
however, the noise came back (only on the left side). So I switched the brakepads and disc rotor from left to right/right to left but sadly the noise was still there.
I don't know what to do anymore. I'm really stuck and confused. Can someone please help me figure this out!!!

I haven't done brakes on my GL, yet, so I'm only making an assumption here... But if they're like any of the other cars I've worked on there is a brake pad "clip". Maybe that's a little loose or has lost it's "spring". The other thing is to make sure there's the proper grease on the contact points of the caliper.

The noise INITIALLY went away when you put the new pads/rotor/hub on? Did you bed the new pads in properly?
When you switched the pads and rotor to the other side, did the noise follow them, or did it stay on the left side?
