This is crazy. Even when the vehicle is off and locked with the key out the left reverse bulb stays illuminated.. Obviously a risk of battery drain so I removed the bulb.
Yesterday while driving in wet weather I had several other symptoms: Rapidly flashing right blinker, backup camera black, yet lines still visible. I had several messages on the display about "trailer lights...something, something". Now camera and blinkers are fine, But reverse bulb is still illuminated...I tried it today.
Is this simply a SAM issue? Which one and how to replace. Does it absolutely require dealer programming?

Faulty rear SAM and yes if you want the SAM to function in the car it will have to be coded to the car.
