Voice Control System has stopped working. How to turn it back on?

Voice Control System has stopped working. How to turn it back on?
I have a Mercedes S320 2009 W221. I have previously been able to use the voice control system but now I cannot even create the personalisation. Nothing happens after I press the 'create new personalisation' option.
