defective M273 timing gear question

Looking at possibly adding a GL to the family and have been looking at a few highly optioned '07 GL450s.
The defective idler gear/balance shaft gear has always made me shy away from the M272/273 family of engines and has kept me in the older M112/113 era longer than maybe i needed to.
So the question is and I am sure it has been answered but today my search game is not on point I guess.

do the M273 4.7s follow the same serial number guide of >30 088611 as the m273 5.5?

I am going to go ahead and look for the gotchas with this first year GL, but if anyone wants to throw some pointers in I won't mind.

Thanks

This problem applies to M273 engines produced prior to any installed in GL450 or GL550

This 2007 GL450 seems to state otherwise.Engine273923 30 057143
