x164 2009 GL550 p0016 p0017
i havee a x164 2009 GL550 that has two recurring codes, p0016 p0017. The only way to reset is with ignition on but engine not running. The codes come back after driving a few miles. car has 132K miles.

Maybe are the crankshaft sensors located at the top front one the engine, you have 4 of them 2 on the driver side and two on the passenger side.

What a pity, I hope it is not a problem with the camshaft itself, what is something very rare to occur.
Another things that can cause this error code:
Wiring that goes from the sensor to the ECU with resistance due to oxidation, specially ate the terminals;
Auxiliar battery with low amperage;
Fuse box of the engine compartment with some problem, again like oxidation;
I hope some colleague here can have more suggestions.
