Same size as the X166 chrome plated multi pointed bolts which are way cooler than anything you can do to your original 164 bolts.
the shorter bolts are for spare tire only

Bolt shank length is actually dependent on the alloy wheel model.
In my case, the 19" diameter factory rims require a longer shank than the 17" factory rims (my offroad set), so I have two separate sets of bolts.
Haven't got the bolts in front of me, but I recall the 17" wheels require a 27mm shank.
Be careful if swapping around. If you use longer bolts where shorter ones are needed, it will poke through into the wheel hub and destroy your handbrake mechanism as soon as you move the car.

There are no 17-inch wheels for GL ... perhaps you’re thinking of ML.
Also pretty sure the same lug bolts are used with most if not all X164 alloys. Different bolts for the steel donut spare wheel of course.

I have an ML but haunt both the GL and ML forums, and forgot which one I was on.
However for the ML, I can confirm the bolts used for both the 17" alloy wheels and the steel spare wheel are exactly the same.
