Whats wrong with my Diesel
Hey Gurus, I'm a fanatic, I change oil every 3500 miles, trans at 30k with diffs and transfer case etc ...I've been using liqui moly Diesel fuel additive every second tank and it makes a huge difference to the car. Lately I tried the Archoil AR9100 and MAN!!! never seen our truck that happy zipping through traffic and pushing us into the seats harder than ever! .. At that time the oil was MOTUL X-Clean 5w-40 and 8 ounces of Archoil. ------- In my experience has been the best *hit on the planet for GL350!!
Now my curiosity takes the next level up, I changed to Mobil 1 0w-30 ESP and added Archoil 9100 8oz to it ... and the car doesnt feel the same..... I havent added the fuel additive yet, I'll try adding today and report back.
truck has 61k miles.

A consensus is probably not possible given the number of different engine and emission requirements available over the years.
I use Mobil I ESP Formuls M because that is the ONLY oil qualified by Mercedes for my '08 GL320 and the emissions requirements it had to maintain. DPFs are a LOT more expensive than oil! Adding stuff may or may not permanently damage the emission equipment.

There is nothing wrong with your diesel, but there will be if you don’t stop experimenting. Trust me.
do not run additives. Any additives. Anywhere. Here is zero reason to do so and it introduces an unknown variable in a complex system that if it goes south (and I can think of 10 things that can happen) you will be sorry you owned that piece of German engineering

The sticker that is or once was under your hood on front crossmember cautions to not add ANY QUANTITY of oil not meeting Mercedes specification.
