GL- Cruise Control Option Codes
DISTRONIC Question:
Can someone tell me exactly the difference in the X166 MC Code:
252 Collision Warner
vs.
258 COLLIS.WARN. SYS. W/ ACTIVE BRAKE INTERV. FCW STO
vs.
233 AUTONOMOUS INT. CRUISE CONT. PLUS (DISTRONIC PLUS)
I drive a X164 2007 GL450 with the MC Code 219 PROXIMITY-CONTROLLED CRUISE CONTROL so I am familiar with the "Distronic" in an older GL.
I am looking to trade up to the X166 model, but do not want to give up the emergency warning and braking I have now with the Distronic. I find very few X166 for sale with the code 233 (Distronic Plus) but am finding a few more with the code 219 (Collision Warning Sys.) I love my 2007 GL450, second owner with no major issues, but has 180K now. At the time I purchased from original owner I did not know how few had the Distronic option.
I did do a Goggle search and found several MB responses to both code options, but still am unclear what code(s) I need to look for to have a similar function as the Code 219 in my current GL450 .
Also a related question: has anyone had luck in posting ISO for a GL and specific to include an option like Distonic? If so where did you post, and was it it local or nationwide?
