Fault code P0410: 0810 & 0814

08 GL450 120k miles: For several months, I've noticed a noise coming from driver's side engine area. The noise sounds like something knocked loose and trapped as it's doesn't always sound the same (as if it's flapping around). I've taken it to several mechanics and no one can find the culprit. Well two days ago my 'check engine' light came on. I have a fault code P0410: 0810 & 0814. Could this be related to the noise I'm hearing? And what's the process to fixing both the noise and fault codes? I want to make sure I have good information to inform mechanic before taking GL450 in again. Thanks in advance.

Check to see if your air filter housing is loose. That is all the way in the back and is held on by a clamp.

Then check your intake tubes at the front. They are connected to the front and often become loose or mechanics don’t bother putting them in right.

Inwould check this this yourself first, it’s quite simple and mechanics often don’t have the patience or eye for detail to bother.

Best of luck!

Also this may help if you do bring it to the mechanic.
