GL450
B3 service issue

All
i just had my 2014 GL450 in for the B3 service. The issue I discovered after I got home and read the worksheet ( yes I should have questioned it at the dealer) was that they never did the brake flush per the required 4 year/40k mercedes maint booklet. Hey did a few “ recommended” items like rotating the tires and replacing the wiper blades ( 77 dollars for the blades!)
the worksheet said that the brake fluid was due.
the dealer said hat a brake flush is an optional item
Not on the regular b service.
Am
i completely wrong or if it says required on the maint manual, I should expect it to be done on the b service.?
now I have wasted a day and told the dealership as such.

You have a bad dealer. Required means required. I had my first b service at 4,000 miles and they flusher the brake line then again at 9,000 when I had the 2nd B service. You got ripped off. I definitely would not pay 77 for blades especially MB blades. Complain to MBUSA

At my dealer brake flush is not part of any service and it's extra. You only need to do every 2 years, I do it every 3 years personally since it's not a performance car. It depends on how you drive the truck. Transmission flush is the same way, it's not part of any service for me, but an extra charge every 40K.

What is it with Merc windshield washer hoses? The wife's coupe had a leak in the hose at the reservoir right after we picked it. At least the only had to take the front end apart.

Brake fluid flush/ change is not included in an A or B service. It is an upsell Item. All items in the required section and additional required are to be performed by the tech/ dealer if you have prepaid maintenance.

I suppose it depends on the dealer. This is directly off my dealer's website.
