GL450 Tires

I have a 2012 GL450. I purchased tires exactly 1 year ago and am being told that the back 2 need to be replaced. I've put less than 10,000 miles since they were replaced. Could this be?

What kind of tires? What kind of driving? Have you checked the alignment?

It's quite possible that you have a suspension problem that is causing the tires to wear prematurely. I see it all the time. A lady pulled up next to me at the daycare while I was picking up my son and her right front tire was completely bald, while the other three tires where near new. She was completely oblivious.

These GLs have full time 4WD. You should see even treadwear across all the tires. If you don't, you have a problem that needs to be addressed. If you just put new tires on, you will have the same problem again.

Just out of curiosity what suspension issues would cause uneven treadwear? And what would be the best way to get the dealer to change/fix under my extended warranty. I got tired trying to convince my dealer to replace the sway bar endlinks and thus ended up doing it myself for about 75$ in parts. Lemforder and rein.

To the op. Perhaps check the condition of your sway bar end links. They can cauae issues with sway and uneven treadwear.
Although the gl is known as a tire eater.

Anti-roll bars won't impact tire wear. Bushings and control arms are what you want to look at. They are what impact toe and camber control.
