OBD-II Scanner & Service Reset

Hi folks,
I need help with a relatively simple topic.
I want to buy an OBD-II scanner/code reader/service reset tool for my X164 GL and X204 GLK.
I prefer having a bluetooth or wifi dongle and use my iphone with it but I am also OK to buy a standalone device.

What are your preferences? Any suggestions are more than welcome.
Seen some of them online but didn't want to buy without consulting you first.

Thanks a lot kombifan.
To be sure, are we talking about this one:
Amazon Amazon

And one more thing, if I want to be able to use it on other cars in the future (non MB), would this still work or is it MB only?

Yep that's the one. Thats also the one mercedes medic recommends. If you need full star diagnostics they sell full laptops with star on eBay for around 3-500$

The Mb carsoft will only work on other cars as an obd2 Scanner, not for the in depth dealer level diagnostics

kombifan,
I am a good follower of your advice and I went ahead to buy the iCarsoft MB II today.
Connected it to my x164 GL550 and x204 GLK350

GLK was mostly fine but GL's diagnostic results were like a christmas tree.

There were lots and lots of error codes and most of them were undervoltage errors.
I got the feeling that while changing the battery etc, most of those codes have been generated and were hanging there.

My question to you is, to get a better view, do you think I can erase everything and give the car run and then diagnose again. Would this make sense at all? I got all those codes but don't know how to tackle them.

To give an example:
SRS
1/2: Undervoltage at terminal 15R
2/2: Undervoltage at terminal 30

I can upload a video of the diagnostics here if I can.

Here you go:

I've uploaded my diagnostic results. But then again, I didn't want to touch anything before consulting the forum first. My gut tells me to reset everything and do another run as most of those stuff are working perfectly. In fact nothing is broken with my car (except the driver side DRL which I couldn't replace yet). And front keyless buttons are stuck as it says on diagnostic as well.
