Trans in park beep

our '07 beeps when it is put in park, but the '12 does not. Am I missing this setting? I have "missed" park a couple of times lately and that beep would help!

My '08 does not beep. I have never seen a user setting (dash display/setup) for it. If it is selectable (on or off), then it must have to be done through programming.

I just look at the dash - then I know exactly what mode the tranny is in.

In fact it is the sole function of the aux battery (on the '08) to put the car in park if everything else goes 'bananas'. If you have NOT put it in park, turn the key off (or step out of the car for keyless go cars) besides beep, the lock solenoid automatically energizes even if the main battery isn't there and no other source of electricity is available.

It is the inadequately documented "Comfort" "Easy entry/exit" feature. If you pull out the key, the steering wheel rises, the transmission goes into Park, and a chime is sounded.

EDIT: Never mind. I'm confused.

I only ever use the start button... maybe that's why I've never heard it? Or because I have never tried to exit the vehicle with it still in drive/reverse? Maybe I'll have to try it. But I do know that my steering wheel never rises by itself? Maybe that was/is an option that I don't have?

Crikey, never mind. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Try enabling Comfort - Easy Entry/Exit. The reason I was convinced this setting covered the chime (and shifting to Park) is my GL stopped doing the chime but started doing it again when I toggled that setting. I think the software got lost. Try it on your '12.

Now you guys make me feel like an idiot! I may be in a bit of a rush to get out at times, but I have pushed the park button only to have it still in drive. Obviously I am not pushing it firmly enough, no fault of the GL in my mind. I'll try the easy exit deal.
Thanks all
