rattling and clumking from from right corner

So my 2007 gl450 was fine but suddenly developed a rattling or clunking in the front right corner when going over rough road surfaces. It sounds like the shock is loose. Funny thing is when it's lifted with the interior switch it is virtually gone. once you get up to speed the car lowers and the rattling is back. I changed the air suspension distribution block and the right sway bar link. Still there. What is it?

Thanks, mark

Hey I posted an answer on your other post in the x166 forum . I had hhe same problem a couple threads down.

Sound would disappear when raised etc.

I asjked before but didn't get an answer. Did you use the mb sway bar link?
.if not it may be causing the issue. It is what I had and replacing with mb sway bar links fixed it.

Also check the aforementioned bushing on the sway bar.

You also have to replace in pairs. It will give a weird handling feel if you have one old and one new.

My indy installed MB links and they only lasted ~30k miles. Changing the struts pushed them over the edge, so mad clunking began shortly after strut change and I assumed it was the struts. (Sorry Arnott!)

I installed Febest. I suspect Delphi makes the OEM.

I believe this is internal to the strut. I have the same thing and have been biding my time until the shock itself fails. I can live with the noise and have almost tuned it out
