Help, Information Needed
Hi Guys,
I am thinking of purchasing a used GL as my second family car.
I live in Canada and found some from local dealers as 2007 ~ 2010 model. My target price is under 12k CAD.
No doubt, the car looks beautiful, luxury and still fancy.
But I also noticed from lots of online comments saying that this could be a "moving bomb" or cost a lot in maintenance.
So can you share your yearly maintenance cost for the GL model (350 or 450) from the year 2007 ~ 2010 so that I can make the right decision?
Really appreciate.

Hello,
Please have a look at http://www.fuelly.com/car/mercedes-b.../edvaru/418071 and see my costs since 2016. It is in the log book section. There are other peoples GL's you can look at with costs as well in the log book. That might give you an idea. My mileage is worst as it is 99% city driving and short distance.

9-12 year old cars will require some new parts here and there.
Mercedes parts may prove above average costly as
-number Mercedes sold is small compared to, say, Chevy
-Mercedes parts come fro Germany
-Mercedes parts are more sophisticated, for example air springs
None of this merits criticism of Mercedes.
Mercedes are expensive new, and Mercedes are expensive old

Stick with the gas model . Be prepared to spend some money on suspension parts at some point.
