Backup Camera - Trailering
So I went to pick up my boat from storage and it was the first time used it for towing. I noticed that when I put it in reverse I planned to use the camera to align the hitch to the trailer. Oddly I couldn't see the hitch. Anyone else have this problem?

Guess it depends on the draw bar you're using - the particular 'rise' and the length of the draw bar. I can see the ball with mine and have a few customers with GL's and they can see the ball, as well. I don't think there's anything special to the draw bar we have. The only thing I've never liked is that the camera is off center so you don't have a 'straight' view of the ball vs trailer coupler - it's a little skewed. It also slightly skews your view when trying to center yourself when backing into a parking slip. Not much, and I can adjust, but a camera being centered on the hatch just would have made more sense!

I can see it on mine. Sure makes backing up to the trailer easy although I have to back up farther than it looks like I should due to the angle of the camera relative to the ball.

I used it again today. My hitch has a 2-inch drop and I noticed I can barely see the top. The off-centered is very annoying. My hitch seems to be on the low side for my trailer so might be flipping it and it will likely be much more visible then.

Let us us know how it works out when you do.

I'm not at my truck right now, but I'm pretty sure I have the draw rotated to the "3/4 inch" rise postion as opposed to the 2" drop. It's definitely good to have the trailer frame level - especially if you have dual axles or surge brakes.

Fixed? Can't you just unscrew the ball, turn the totate the draw bar 180* and attach the ball again?

I don’t tow often enough so I bought a curt drawbar and ball combo

Ah. I had to go to Curt's website to make sense of that. I found some that were welded on and assume that's what you are talking about. Now I get it - although I can't say I've ever seen that before!
