'06 ML350 722.6 tranny and TC fluid volume?

Does a 2006 ML350 722.6 tranny and torque converter take the same volume of fluid as a 2012 GL450 722.9 tranny and TC?

According MB both transmissions should use 236.14 Automatic transmission fluids (ATF, Specification 236.14):

Nope. The 2012 uses 236.15(blue) and if I am not mistaken, a 2006 ML350 has a 722.9 transmission.

Transmission 722.9 (7G-Tronic) up to transmission serial number 2834526 use ATF 134 / BeVo 236.14 which is red, 722.9 as of transmission serial number 2834527 use FE-AF 134 / BeVo 236.15 wich is blue. The serial number is located at the bottom of the left transmission housing.

The 2006 ML350 has a 772.9 (&G-Tronics) transmission.
