2010 GL450. My kids broke my rear doors on the truck. At first the handles were loose when you tried to open the doors, but not they aren't catching at all and will come out of the door on the non-hinge side. I can push them back in, but that's about it. Now I have to open the doors from the inside. It was determined that the handle itself is not broken. I went to the mechanic and they said that they have seen this before and there is a kit to fix it, ~$100. Another mechanic wants to replace the entire lock assembly, ~$350.

I am searching the internet to find the kit. Has anyone seen this or know of this repair kit? or have any experience with this issue?

You may have a broken Torx screw. There is only one holding the door lock cylinder. For some reason, it is reverse threaded and very easy to break. You may get an idea how it locks the door handle in this video.
