Dude easiest option is to go with the idatastart kit. I installed it and love it. It's cheap.

You can also add a phone smart start .

Yep. So easy. All you need is a screwdriver with a t25 bit.

Step 1) remove the radio, (there are several videos showing this and its literally 2 screws and 5 minuets worth of time)
2) reach behind the ignition and pull out the 2 clips.
3) plug the 2 clips, wires into the idatastart harness.
4) plug the harness back into ignition. You cant mess this up because they only go into their own plug.

Very important question. Do you have keyless go? Because this adds a longer step.

Idatastart has videos showing everything on their site.

Yep keyless going to take an additional step running the canbus wire to the trunk, again idata has a tutorial on how to do it.

2. To flash it you can buy the modual, it's like 30bucks I did that.

You can go and create an account on their site to flash the modual.

I ended up getting mine on ebay, how every I got the Omegalink brand. They are all the same parent company the ADS products and you can use omegalink flasher or idatalink flasher.

Only reason I got the omegalink is someone was selling it new for 250.

And what they told you sounds about right

I have the attached
