plug and play remote starter

Looking for the best brand and price for an aftermarket remote starter. I live in Chicago and its really cold out here.car is 2011 Mercedes GL550.

So far I've seen a system by midcity engineering and flashlogic.but I would like to have some feedback if anyone has them and how hard are they to install

i had midcity engineering installed and works great! also installed the Drone Kit installed so i can start the car from anywhere on my phone.

Dude easiest option is to go with the idatastart kit. I installed it and love it. It's cheap.

You can also add a phone smart start .

Yep. So easy. All you need is a screwdriver with a t25 bit.

Step 1) remove the radio, (there are several videos showing this and its literally 2 screws and 5 minuets worth of time)
2) reach behind the ignition and pull out the 2 clips.
3) plug the 2 clips, wires into the idatastart harness.
4) plug the harness back into ignition. You cant mess this up because they only go into their own plug.

Very important question. Do you have keyless go? Because this adds a longer step.

Idatastart has videos showing everything on their site.

I also called idata and they said that I need to go to an authorized dealer because they system has to be flashed.
did you have to do that? the way your saying sounds so simple

Yep keyless going to take an additional step running the canbus wire to the trunk, again idata has a tutorial on how to do it.

2. To flash it you can buy the modual, it's like 30bucks I did that.

You can go and create an account on their site to flash the modual.

Is that what you got?
and where did you buy yours from? I see some on ebay

I ended up getting mine on ebay, how every I got the Omegalink brand. They are all the same parent company the ADS products and you can use omegalink flasher or idatalink flasher.

Only reason I got the omegalink is someone was selling it new for 250.

And what they told you sounds about right

I did run into this brand but they are going for about 500+ meanwhile I can get the idata for less that 400.
which one do you advice of? or just stick with idata since its cheaper and known brand

Same brand. Go with what ever is cheaper.
