I am trying to replace the leaked front strut myself, and am wondering about the proper torque on the bolts. I ordered a manual in electronic version, and have questions about the torque spec in the manual.
Please take a look at the screenshot of the torque specification.
Does it mean, first torque to 100nm, then loose 180 degree (i.e. turn counter clockwise 180 degree), then torque to 120nm, then turn further clockwise 45 degree?
Sure looks to me like that is what it is saying. But honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. Just make it "good-n-tight". I've done end links numerous times on multiple vehicles and have never torqued - zero issues. Did you watch the how to video we discussed in the other thread?
Yes, I have watched that video, and I have also watched multiple other videos on YouTube, all about front struct replacement, just to make sure that I am not missing anything.
